SHROOMS IN THA WOOD

Sorry I haven't blogged in a week, been working a lot in another store further up in Norway. It's kinda weird and a tiny bit sad I'm done working for the summer.

Yesterday I visited my grandmother (dad's side) and we went for a walk, looking for mushrooms. Found some really good one, Kantarelle/Chanterelle, we fried in butter, salt and pepper! Tasted like a mix of bacon and herbs.


Mama, sis, grandma, grandpa and me went to Blåfarveverket today. A museum + farm thing. They used to mine cobolt there, for creating the blue colour. They waterfall was massive now cause of all the rain we've had. And more to come... yeahhhh!

EGERTORGET FOOD FESTIVAL 2011

Me, mom, sis and my friend Marianne went to the Egertorget Matfestival/Food festival today. Loads of exciting food, grilled sweetcorn, smoked whale, cheeses and loads more. Also tasted a "bunny-meat burger", well it was good, but felt kinda bad when I walked 100meters and there was the bunny race and pet-the-furry-cute-bunnies area.

 



Me and Marianne had been night security guards down at the dock, looking after 250ish boats. We watched some films and did our round to make the time pass.

I found this during my "youtubeing" today. Never heard of The Ready Set before, I think, but kinda catchy.

FUCK FOR THE FOREST

Me and my mate Ola decided to go for a evening run today. He bailed at 4,7km then I carried on until 11,48km. Jogged up to a farm, Frøtvedt, but then I suddenly wanted to head into the forest. Haven't been in that part of the forest since I was like, 12 or 13 ish, so was good to be back. Me and Ola are gonna do a longer run sometime later, either this week or later.

It felt great! Just me and the forest, no noise, just some birds here and there. Lovely! All the animals (and many more of course) is animals that live wild all over Norway. I often meet deer (top right) when I'm out running f. ex. they walk across the street, into a garden and straight to the forest. I remember once the deer came up to our terrace on the summer and started eat my moms flowers. We did take a photo, but so many years ago and donno where it is.

I've met Moose/Eurasian Elk (down left) several times, both when walking and driving. When I drive back from work around 22-23 and it's dark, closing in on fullmoon and add some fog, volà! Moose crossing the road. Stupid animals... I've had to hit the brakes so hard cause they suddenly decide to jump into the road. I remember once a moose calf came out into the road... then I knew a mother wouldn't be far behind and like five seconds later there she came. Then I just make sure the car stands perfectly still, cause if she feel her kid is threatened she just MAY attack. Still nice animals, met them also a couple of times when walking. 

The Eurasian Lynx/gaupe (down right) I've only met'em only once. I was about 9-10 years old and were at old classmates house and we were playing outside. He lived by the edge of a forest, though in a big street. And a Lynx showed itself and came slowly walking our direction, so of course we were 9-10, we ran inside. But it's a lovely animal! Would love to see it again.

Oh, the title is from a Norwegian group of eccentric and special people who believe having public sex will help the environment. They've had several public "protests" in the last years, most known was when two people had sex on the stage during a festival concert.

HAPPY NEW YEAR MISS SOPHIE

Just saw the trailer for the new film Happy New Year on YouTube. I know it looks like a cheerful and simple film, but you know what? Think it's gonna be light funny entertainment. Take a look:



And that got me thinking; where do I wanna celebrate New Years eve? We've talked about having a house party in our house in Swansea. So Swansea, London, Oxford I donno. But one thing IS certain (99% at least), I'm doing it UK style this year :D Probably fly back on the 28/29/30 or sometime around there.

This was London last New Years eve! OMG!


Would be great to experience that! Or really, just something different. It's become so boring in Norway in the last three years, cause almost all fireworks is forbidden except what's known as "batteries" (fireworks where the element/case/thingy itself doesn't leave the ground). That more or less killed the fireworks in my village. We've always get some "batteries", so have some. But I want something different this year, turned 20, live in another country and have had 19 good New Years in Norway, so time for a change. I think New Years eve is great, cause for me it's starts a thought process were I reflect on the year that's been. It makes you appreciate what you've got and what you can do different.

So cheers to that everyone! To change! To the future! To friends & family! Or simply put, cheers to life!
