"Acquired immune deficiency syndrome or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a disease of the human immune system caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This condition progressively reduces the effectiveness of the immune system and leaves individuals susceptible to opportunistic infections and tumors. HIV is transmitted through direct contact of a mucous membrane or the bloodstream with a bodily fluid containing HIV, such as blood, semen, vaginal fluid, preseminal fluid, and breast milk." - Wikipedia.com
AIDS affects many people around the world. In 2009 it was estimated that 33,3 million people were living with HIV/AIDS. And it isn't only African countries that have this syndrome as many people think, USA is also heavily affected. In the UK they estimate it's about 50,000 - 100,000 people with HIV/AIDS. Some people tend to think that it's only Africans or gays that can get HIV/AIDS, that is not true. You could have gotten infected through breast milk, who's to say your mother haven't had the HIV gen dormant in her body. Or if you have had a one night stand after town. I'm not saying that if you've hooked up, that your are infected, you most likely aren't (at least with HIV/AIDS), but the chances are there. Or I've come in contact with a HIV persons blood. But the thing is that you never know. Free tests are available several places in most countries, all it's takes is simple blood test. I took one last week myself (no, I don't have any symptoms, but my GP asked if I wanted a free test, so I said yes) maybe you should to?
Q: Do you know anyone with HIV/AIDS?
As a film student I look for inspiration all the time. I first saw this video on Russel Howards Good news show. The tell the recovery process in a different way that catches people attention. They show us the whole process, backwards. The woman, Selinah, is today cured thanks to the Topsy foundation.

TRAVELING NEW YORK AND THE WORLD
Published:
15:19
One of the bloggers I follow, Kenneth Olsen, has left for New York. I'm so jealous! To wander through Central Park or stand on the top of Empire State building. Imagine the photos/videos I could take <3 Just need my new camera first, which I hopefully will get within 6 months. I'm not a huge USA fan, dislike their politics, but still, to walk on Upper East side or go to art galleries in Brooklyn would be amazing. But it's costs a lot to stay there. The plain tickets are about £300 (2780 kr) from London to New York, which isn't bad considering you're traveling half the globe, but still it's way to much for a student...
Places I want to visit in the near future:
- Portland (going there next weekend with the climbing club)
- Oxford (next month?)
- Brighton (September?)
- Rome (hoping to go here in some holiday)
- Paris (going to France on the summer)
- Barcelona (hopefully withing a year or two?)
- Sydney (when Santa starts giving money as presents...)
- New York (same...)
Not everything have to cost a fortune. Travel on odd times to save money on plains/trains and stay in small hotels or maybe a nice hostel? A organisation I've been a part of for a couple of years, but never used is CouchSurfing. It's what the word implies, surfing on people's couches. Free and simple. That is how I plan on going around in Europe :D You often can't get the proper culture without being with native people.
Like a very smart man, my grandfather, said to me yesterday: "You're young, you can go exploring" and that's exactly what I'm hoping to do.
Q: Where do you want to go?

SPRING DESIGN
Published:

I'm not gonna say I'm a HTML superman and have coded the new design. Have to admit I mostly use the blog layout editor, but the "Follow me" html I did myself :D Very happy with my new header, thank you Elise Årdal for the lovely picture. We took the picture when we had our Photoshoot on the 18th, going to upload the rest of the pictures some day very soon.

| Yes it's so out of focus, but cellphone wouldn't cooperate... |
The flowers are blooming in February! So lush to be able to go outside without putting on wool tights and socks. It was around 10 degrees ish today. I'm just looking forward to the summer, imagine those beaches when it's hot and sunny. Been to the gym today to work on my six pack before the bikini season starts :D
Ricky Martin's new song, pretty cool. Also check out the rest of his new album Música + Alma + Sexo. Why is it that everything that's in Spanish sound lovely? Even if you say something random like; "Turn left after next roundabout, then cross the bridge" it will sound dirty or romantic xD
